Summary
Annie works at a coffee shop and tries to skate by doing as little work as possible. She hates people and customers are no exception. And guess what? They hate her too. Annie's had a shit day at work, until a girl in a red scarf stops in. She tips Annie (an unprecedented event) and orders Annie's favorite thing to make: black coffee. Fate begins to work it's magic and their paths cross more than once, until one day the girl starts working at the coffee shop with Annie and they kinda sorta click (though neither will admit it). Begrudgingly, Annie realizes she might not hate everyone after all.

A bridge would burn today.
Annie took a deep breath and filled her nose with intoxicating aroma of laundry, sex, and Mikasa. Annie suppressed a shiver as Mikasa huffed a contented breath against the bare skin of her hip. She tried to visualize that gentle puff of air sending her anxieties scattering, blowing the weight of them from her shoulders along with the knowledge that, soon, all the predawn peace in the world wouldn’t be enough to blot-out the scent of smoke.Bookmarked by Nicotina28
