Summary
John B gets to work cleaning up the blood on JJ’s face and disinfecting the cuts. Distantly, his brain tells him that JJ probably has bruises all over his body, but John B can’t take this all at once, so he focuses on JJ’s face for now. And fuck, up close, JJ’s eyes are so, so blue. Even battered and bruised, he’s fucking beautiful. No, John B thinks, and shoves those feelings, whatever they are, into the same dark corner he’s been putting them in for months. It’s not like that, it’ll never be like that.

Hesitantly, JJ nods and allows John B to lift up his shirt.
John B sucks in an audible breath at the sight of the massive bruises that wrap around JJ's ribs. They're a deep shade of red, and John B can see how swollen they are without having to touch them. It looks painful as fuck, and he has no idea how JJ managed to drag himself here.
