“-Giorno…” A voice sounded out behind him, the sound of breath being stolen out of the speaker’s lungs. There was no care in its delivery, only detached recognition.
The boy stiffened at the name, his grasp bruising the orange he so delicately held only moments ago.
“-Giorno Giovanna. You…” a second voice called. This one was harsher, a slight growl echoed within the syllables, built off of years of anger and hatred.
Without seeing them, the boy already knew who resided behind him. And he remembered how violently learned behaviors could sputter back to life.
He wilted away - as he did so many times before.
WARNING: This deals with some major trauma and ptsd from past emotional, psychological and physical abuse as well as present abuse. Tbh, I literally had a panic attack while writing this so... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Giorno Giovanna wasn’t a Joestar. He was only a blight on the Joestar family name. He was proof of DIO’s existence. He would never be welcomed by the family.

Life may march on, but death is a different beast entirely. Where one is progress; the other is stagnant. Where one is finite; the other is eternal. A beautiful facade awaits those who have passed. Another life after life seems almost inhumane in a way. The endless, cruel wait to see a loved one once again. But, what part about life was humane to begin with?
