Summary
It was absolutely, utterly, a rhetorical question that needed no reply. Damen knew that Laurent was intelligent enough to deduce so.
Which meant that, for some strange reason, Laurent wanted to see Damen’s family. This included his Vere-hating father, his jealous, angry brother Kastor, and his overprotective friend Nikandros (who conveniently did not like blonds, for reasons unknown).
Or, Laurent attends Damen’s family dinner.

Summary
Auguste turned around and said, too calmly: “Please repeat what you just said about my brother.”
“He’s very— he’s, um. Very.” Damen paused, tentatively searching for the right words. Auguste was beginning to look more and more murderous.
“He’s very what, Damen. Say it.” There was a burgeoning, insistent, crazed edge to his voice.

He tries, as he’s lying in bed, to form some kind of understanding, but he just ends up thinking about Patroclus’ hair, and his lips, and the way his fingers looked as he played the guitar, elegant and deft and so, so clever.
