Summary
The feel of sunlight shining against his face may be one of the things Zhou Zishu will miss the most as his sense of touch slowly fades.
He’s been feeling colder and colder these days, and the fingers in his left hand are numb more often than not. It’s been shaking more than usual too. Curling it into a fist and hiding it behind him has become habit at this point.
He spends the entire morning enjoying the sun beside Wen Kexing as they watch over Zhang Chengling’s training. Zhou Zishu sits with his back straight and properly cross legged while Wen Kexing is leaning back against a wooden post, regularly taking sips from his flask of wine, as he watches Zhang Chengling with amused eyes and occasionally gives Zhou Zishu a playful nudge with his foot.
Zhou Zishu's senses are failing him. He learns to treasure the small moments of warmth he has left.

Summary
In the space of a breath, between one life and the next, Nie Huaisang closes his eyes one moment as Jin Guangyao takes his last shuddering breaths.
In the next, he wakes up and opens his eyes to familiar rays of sunlight streaming through his window.

Summary
“We looked for you,” the woman in black says. “We tried to save you and we failed. You were dead.”
She tilts her head at the last part like she’s asking a question. He thinks about it. People who are alive can be killed--that was why he was created in the first place.
Talons can’t be killed--incapacitated, grievously injured to the point they won’t be useful, yes, but not killed--which means he’s not alive, but part of him thinks that he should be.
“I am,” he says, because that’s what dead is: things that are supposed to be alive but aren’t.
The woman doesn’t say anything for a long time. Nothing shifts in her posture or expression--though there’s not much to see on her face because of the mask--but he gets the impression that she’s thinking over his words.
“Will you come home?” she asks.
Now, he is Talon. Before, he was something else but he cannot remember what. The memory is lost to him no matter how hard he searches for it.

It was a mistake that led to a series of very strange Google searches in the Katuski-Nikiforov household. Or, well, they weren't married, were they? So the household in which Viktor Nikiforov and Katsuki Yuuri lived, in love, but not married. Because Yuuri didn't have a gold medal.
