    Harley Keener was promised by the Tony Stark that when he turned 17, he could come live in New York with him while finishing up his senior year at Midtown high and working closely to Tony Stark. Little did he know that within those 6 years of waiting, Tony Stark picked up another young prodigy. A 16 year old boy from Queens with seemingly nothing special about him except for his intelligence and looks.
    Instead of trying to become friends with Tony Stark’s new shiny toy, he meets the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

    "I don't know what you want us to do," Pepper says, and the amount of frustration in her voice is actually tangible. "We have to protect you, Harley. You have to have a guard, but there are so few people willing to take this job given your track record. The majority of our new candidates aren't even prepared to take you on."

    "You make me sound like some kind of project." He doesn't miss the way she flinches. "I don't want a security detail, Pep. Everyone you pick is so much older than me," Harley snaps, "and it makes it so hard for me to act like a normal person."

    "You don't think we get that? I've had people following me everywhere I go since I was born, Harley."

    "And you're not a normal person, like it or not," Pepper says softly."I know you know that, but you have to accept it. You are always going to have someone hovering around you and keeping you safe, because there are other people hovering around you who want to hurt you."

    "I know."

    "Do you? Because you're acting like a teenage delinquent." Pause. "You're twenty, Harley. I need you to act like it."

    Peter wakes up early on a regular Saturday morning. Everything is completely normal as he gets ready for his day. After getting dressed, eating breakfast, and kissing his aunt on the cheek, he takes the subway to the Tower. He’s greeted by FRIDAY’s cheerful good morning, the Avengers (and Loki who stopped being a brat and joined his brother) drinking coffee, and everyone’s groggy hello’s. Tony, as usual, is in the lab. His ride down the elevator is peacefully quiet, and for the first time in what feels like forever, Peter feels like he’s found a sense of normalcy………… that is, until he sees a tall, brown-haired, blue eyed teen in the lab with Tony, tinkering away in the place where he usually is.

    Tony invites Harley to be his intern at SI and Peter is forgotten. By the time Tony realizes what he’s done, will he be too late?
