Caius is a slave. Disfigured and no longer fit for brothel work, he's unsure what to expect of the half-human creature that, for some strange reason, has bought him. Still, it's nice to not be the only one with scars for once.

Because that’s him.
He’s staring down at himself as a scrawny, smiling kid, crouched on top of a gargoyle and shaded in the obscurity of Gotham’s smog, always bright in the traffic light colors of the Robin suit, a light in the fucking dark like some kind of metaphor he can’t even consider dissecting right now, and he doesn’t understand.
Or, Jason finds something he wasn't expecting in Tim's flat, and it leaves him reeling with feelings he wasn't prepared for.

So it's after the Epic Fantasy War Against An Evil Lord has ended and been won, and all the exciting stuff has died down. And as people are coming home and rebuilding, one human woman finds herself in the position of having to marry one of the defectors from the Evil Overlord's army, and live with him in his castle full of monsters.
This is fine, probably. It can't hurt, at least. It won't be too strange, maybe.
Everybody will just have to make adjustments.
