Tony Stark has spent his life growing up in Tornado Alley Oklahoma with his disgraced, drunk, widowed father. At 16 years old, Tony can’t wait to escape the horrible town he’s grown up in. The only thing that makes living there bearable is his boyfriend Steve Rogers, which he has to keep a secret from his father. But after an incident at school, Howard finds out about Tony’s relationship with Steve and he isn’t happy about it. After things with Howard take a turn for the worse, Tony has to figure out a way to escape his house with it’s dark secrets hidden inside - or will a stronger force present Tony with the opportunity to quickly eliminate the problem himself?

“How did you do it?”
May startled a bit, not hearing anyone walk into the room behind her, before turning back. Pepper was standing there, still in her black dress, hair and makeup still perfect, but her eyes were rimmed red and watery as she stared off into space over May’s shoulder.
“What?” May asks, even though she knows exactly what Pepper is asking.
“How did you do it?” Pepper repeats, moving her head to look May in the eye. “After Ben, how did you… how did you learn to….”
May and Pepper have more in common now than they ever did before, but maybe now they can support each other.

Peter’s hands were already shaking when he walked into Tony’s workshop.
He was going to do it. He was going to tell Tony today.
A coming out story based loosely on the show Andi Mack on Disney Channel.

Every time Steve closes his eyes he sees Tony. The way his nose scrunched up and his eyes crinkled when he laughed. The way his eyes lit up when he worked in the workshop. The arch of his throat when he threw his head back, moan ripped from his throat as Steve thrust into him. The way his eyes glossed over as he stared at that small screen in a Siberian bunker. The hurt and betrayal on his face, eyes wide in horror as Steve hovers over him, shield raised and about to swing--
"Tony Stark is missing.
Every day Steve thinks back to that fight in that bunker, and every day he can't help but think that whatever has happened to Tony is his fault.
“This base we’re going to. I’ve been there before quite a few times--”
“-- it’s where they used to do all their experiments.”
Steve froze. He didn’t know how to react.
“It’s where they…” Bucky gestures with his metal arm, “...y’know.”
Steve feels horrified.
“I just wanted to tell you, because...” Bucky sighs. “I know you’re hoping that we’re gonna find him this time, but, Steve? At this place? I really hope we don’t.”

Missing scene from Iron Man (2008): It's Tony's first night back in his own house in Malibu and he's not coping as well as he'd like everyone to think.
“Tony, what are you doing in here?” Rhodey asked, sitting up fully. “I thought you went to bed hours ago?”
Tony nodded, looking back at the door as though unsure if he should leave, before he turned his gaze back to Rhodey’s lap. He’s embarrassed about something, won’t look me in the eye.
“I did for a bit,” Tony began, voice a little hoarse. He cleared his throat before continuing. “I mean… the meds knocked me out for a couple hours but I… I woke up and I… I can’t sleep.”
