Summary
Eve is a homicide detective who is both good at her job and enjoys it. But she has been harboring a secret guilt for the last eight years. Before becoming an officer of the law, she was a camp counselor, and her favorite camper was Oksana Astankova. But one night, Oksana was kidnapped and Eve failed to save her. So once she joined the force, she dedicated her extra time to investigating her kidnapping. But one day she gets a letter from mysterious informant claiming to know where Oksana is. All she has to do is go to Paris. But when she gets there, she is surprised to see who the informant actually is. And even then, things take a turn.

Summary
Eve Park and Villanelle are well known assassins. Eve is subtle. Villanelle is not. But both are proud of their profession. Villanelle believes that she is the best until Eve comes into her life and accidentally takes Villanelle's assignment. She expected submission and an apology. What she got was a sweep of the legs and a not so subtle middle finger. As Eve gets away, Villanelle lays there and decides that she has found the one. Eve, not so much.
