"It’s crowded but the four of them skip past the most popular parts of the zoo, eying the otters from afar but getting a front row seat to the cockroaches. Sirius rolls his eyes when James asks him to take a picture of him and Lily outside of the reptile house by a sign that reads “I Turtlely Love You'' but does it anyway. He feels another terrifyingly strong wave of affection gurgle up when Remus kneels down on the floor to get a better view at the lizards, facts about the breeding cycles of blue-tongue skinks flowing off his tongue. He downs his second glass of rosé in two heaping gulps when Remus comes up behind him while they stare at the wolves, Remus bouncing forward onto his toes so that he can rest his chin on Sirius’s shoulder."
