On his way to fetch a bit of willow bark for Jaskier's headache, Geralt comes upon an empty heart carved on the willow tree. Well, it's such an old carving, surely nobody would mind if he added a couple letters to it. You'd think after all these years he'd know how to spell Jaskier's fucking name.

Summary
Geralt is wrongfully hired to dispose of a vengeful spectre that haunts a lake, only to discover it is the town's unknown guardian and the very spirit of Yule itself. Yule curses Geralt with a wreath atop his head. If he does not receive a kiss before the lake thaws in spring, he will turn to ice and die. With the pass to Kaer Morhen closed up, Geralt decides to spend his last winter in Oxenfurt with Jaskier. But it may not be his last after all if Jaskier has anything to say about it.

Months pass and winter comes, brining with it stillness and the ever-pressing silence to remind Geralt that someone is missing. But spring is late in coming. Worry and work pours in through every part of the Continent as the people consult every power available: witchers, sorceresses, kings, and countrymen, for nothing is growing in the fields. Nothing flowers. What can be the cause? And why in all this time has he heard not a single note from that familiar lute, whatever tavern or pub he's come upon? Rumors abound of the terrifying prospect that spring may not return and the bard's disappearance is lost in the shuffle. When the witcher lost his dandelion, had the world lost so much more?

Summary
Part of Geralt’s core rails at the very thought of needing anyone, because that’s not how things are supposed to be, but it makes the matter no less true.
He needs Jaskier. Not for his music or his social skills or, gods forbid, any sort of fighting aptitude. No, he needs him because Jaskier just...is. And it seems that Geralt can no more stop himself from needing Jaskier than he can stop the sun from rising. (He knows. He’s tried to quash the feeling time and again. He always fails.)
Which brings him back to the present moment. Watching Jaskier play and...and wanting.
The question is, should he let Jaskier know?
And Geralt wonders. And thinks. About whys and hows and maybes.
Maybe.

Julian has demonstrated his coding skills well enough to be assigned as handler to one of the most famous (or infamous) Agents around… codename White Wolf.

Summary
Jaskier isn’t breathing. His skin is pale - a horrible green-grey around his lips and eyes - and when Geralt puts a hand to his jaw he’s icy cold. He presses an ear to his chest to better hear over the roar of the waves. He’s not dead. Not quite. But close.
Geralt and Jaskier's boat is caught in a storm on their way to Skellige. When Jaskier is tossed overboard, Geralt must save him - twice. But through saving his life, Geralt leaves Jaskier horribly injured - and he realises how easy it could be to accidentally hurt him again.

Emotionally compelling. Stunning description. The ending is satisfying and makes you just wish for that little bit more, but you know it's about the happiness that comes from waiting and wondering what will come. You don't need the next bit. You only need to wait for it.
