Summary
Brushing debris off of the note, Iruka gently unfolded it, trying not to rip the damp creases.
"Ukki-san enjoys watering three times a week, gentle dusting of his leaves, and daily haiku readings. He tells me the light from your bedroom window is perfect.
He would like to thank you for taking care of him, and tells me I owe you two favors now.
Back in twelve days.
P.S. A perfect mission report is worth at least four favors, sensei, so think of something else."A henohenomoheji stared at Iruka in place of a signature.
(Or, Kakashi doesn't know how to ask someone to care for him, so he'll get Iruka to look after his plant as a proxy.) -

Summary
“You want me to be part of the Rokudaime’s guard,” Tenzō confirmed.
“No,” Kakashi’s expression was guarded. “I want you to lead it.”
Tenzō dropped his hand to the ANBU mask, running his thumb across cold porcelain.
“You could have a life as Yamato still,” Kakashi continued quietly, “see Naruto and Sai when they’re in the village, eat at Ichiraku, have Sakura hound you at the hospital.” He paused. “You could find someone to share that life with. If you wanted it, there would be time.”

Summary
“I thought about using it.” Kakashi’s words cut, sharp and immediate.
There was no need to ask if Kakashi meant for the good of Konoha or himself: guilt didn’t suit Tenzō’s features—not when Kakashi was behind them.
“What would you have done?” Tenzō breathed.
“In reality? Nothing. I wouldn’t have.” Kakashi’s voice lowered. He took a step forward. “But in my fantasy?”
Tenzō had always run hotter between them, and now the heat emanating from Kakashi within his body—only a few inches away—was enough to sear.
“I’m selfish,” Kakashi whispered. “I would have become someone you would want.”

Summary
It was Anko who first described it to Iruka: a huge wolf, with silver fur that gleamed blue with the shroud of living lightning that surrounded it. She said she heard it howl the night before the Kyuubi attack.
Her father had called it the Raijū, told her to never go outside during a thunderstorm and to always sleep on her belly on dark nights.
She said that the trees weren’t struck by lightning, but scratched by the Raijū’s claws.

Summary
"My father, the first time I asked about you—he told me that Tengu were portents of war." Kakashi murmured. “I didn’t believe him.”
Iruka’s dark hair fluttered, breaking into the outline of the full moon. "Do you believe it now?"

Summary
Kakashi's fingers brushed against the soft, velvet box contained in the inner pocket of his flak jacket. He'd been carrying it with him for some time now, waiting for a moment that felt…right.
Even the very thought of proposing caused heat to rush into Kakashi’s face. He still had no idea what he’d say, despite having imagined the moment over and over in his head.
Closing his eyes, Kakashi took a deep breath, feeling his stomach flutter nervously. He’d wanted it for a long, long time, and he knew Iruka did as well…
But that didn’t stop the unnamed fears and anxieties from racing through his mind like a small storm.Series

Summary
Kakashi has been going out of his mind with worry, fearing the worst when Iruka constantly makes excuses to cancel plans, and when Kakashi decides to follow him one evening, he finds more than he bargained for.
The sound came again, and it was like nothing Kakashi had ever heard before: a cry that sounded almost human, high pitches of agony twisted with something much darker, something primal.
