    Summary

Sorry about this, my brain has a mind of its own and now you all have to suffer with me while I fix it. Jaskier does not stay dead. Jaskier is reincarnated repeatedly as a wide variety of monsters. Witchers keep killing him again. Until they figure it all out. The ending will be happy.

This is possibly going to be the only monsterfucker fic where nobody fucks monsters, but since I am in fact a disaster I cannot guarantee that will not change. I swore I wasn't going to publish this until the previous one was finished, and then I promised myself i wouldn't publish this until I had at least 10k words down but I have no self-control so here we are.

Non-con: Jaskier keeps getting reincarnated as various monster-type creatures and does not always have control over what happens to his body or its reactions. More detailed warnings will be at the start of the relevant chapters. There's no other sentient being non-con.

Dead dove do not eat: There are chapters from monster-Jaskier's point of view. Some are quite disturbing/explicit. The monsters aren't always canon-ish. Again, more detailed warnings will be at the start of the relevant chapters.

    Summary

"Thrown out already?" Geralt asks, and sees the bard shaking his head from the corner of his eye.

"Hardly! But a wise bard knows when to leave the audience wanting more."

    "I've never met one."

    "One what?"

"A wise bard," he says, and glances over to see the bard's mouth flapping indignantly.

"I -- am going to let that go, because you're right, where are my manners." He ducks in front of Geralt as they step onto solid ground, forcing him to halt, and gives him a bow, no less graceful for being quickly executed. "Jaskier, troubadour, poet -- and barker -- at your service."

Geralt assumes the bard will wander away of his own accord. Eventually.

It takes a while to realize that's the last thing he wants.

    Summary

When Witchers were created, so to were The Companions. A person who journeys with a Witcher to keep them sane, to heal them, to offer comfort, to reassure villages that the Witcher is not a monster, will not go on a rampage, or slake their needs at the local bawdy house. A Witcher cannot travel without a Companion, and Companions are granted agelessness to follow their Witchers.

After Blaviken, Geralt is without a Companion, them having fled after the massacre. And perhaps it was the second...fifth one to flee Geralt. It wasn't his fault they were morons.

Jaskier has been fired by one...three Witchers for being too mouthy, frustrating, a list of things that he thinks is quite unfair.

Vesemir makes it clear they are each other's last chance. Work well together, or Jaskier will begin to age again, and Geralt will never leave the walls of Kaer Morhen.

Jaskier and Geralt are deeply unimpressed with each other but agree to play along. They didn't expect to fall madly in love. Soulmates are just fairy tales, after all. Not for the likes of them.

    Summary

The mutations are specific tools for specific uses. Formidable strength for formidable enemies. Sharpened sight to see what lurked in the darkness. Keen smell to track every kind of quarry. So while the varied scents of men can often times tell him what they are thinking, what they are likely about to do, there is one who's scent is unlike any other. There are precious few mysteries in Geralt's life anymore, even less that is new.

There is a bard that follows him.

    Summary

Fleeing across a war-torn Cintra on her quest to find Geralt of Rivia, Ciri finds... not Geralt.

    *

“I want you to let me go!” She snapped, and pulled her arm from his grasp. He let her go easily. “It’s, it’s no business of yours what I am doing,” she declared, every inch royalty in her moment. It fled her the next, leaving a scared little girl in its wake. “Please, let me be.”

“I can’t,” Jaskier replied instantly, and he found he meant it. “Let me help you,” he said.

After a long, squint-eyed moment of suspicion, her chin thrust up defiantly.

“I won’t lie on my back for you.”

“Lie on your-- no,” he retched, horrified, but her face remained as it had, cagey, untrusting, jaded. “Princess, no. I want nothing so vile from you, I promise you. You must leave this place, immediately. You need accompaniment,” he pressed, even as she shook her head. “You- you need to find Geralt of Rivia!”
