Bakugou’s listening, but he also isn’t. He ends up turning his head, straining at first to see where Kirishima is pointing, but then finds himself looking at the other boy’s face instead. They’re laying close together, and the sky has started to pinken on the horizon, the color a halo around Kirishima’s features. A breeze blows through the grass again, making the hairs on the back of Bakugou’s neck and arms stand up.
Kirishima looks at him.
