They go back to the motel afterwards.
Fandoms: Weekend Update (SNL), Saturday Night Live
07 Nov 2018
Seth expects his return to SNL to be some kind of grand homecoming, but what he gets might be even better in the end.
Someone clears their throat and David turns to see Patrick sitting in Stevie’s seat. “Hi, David.”
David raises an eyebrow and closes his phone, dropping it on top of his binder. “Do you need something?”
Patrick flushes, looking around the room nervously and tugging at the collar of his polo, which is enough for David to understand.
He turns to look around the room to confirm and—yep, everybody is paired off. Fuck.
David already has to spend four days a week with Patrick Brewer at work and now he has to spend time with him at school too?
Ugh, and he loved English.
David Rose is many things: talented, creative, fashion-forward, well read—the list can go on, but at the very top of that list is Extremely Rich. So he doesn’t understand why his father is making him work at Rose Video—or why Patrick Brewer, a boy he's had virtually no interaction with since they were twelve, is suddenly always around.
An enemies-to-coworkers-to-friends-to-lovers high school au.

A curse has been laid on you that will remain,
Thanks to mistreatment, cruelty and pain,
And the symptoms will persist,
Until you get your true loves kiss.
OR, David has been turned into a cat AU, and he needs his true loves kiss to be turned back into a human.
One look at the bleeding man in the very distinct and very familiar black and white spandex uniform lying prone on the rusty metal floor immediately banished all thoughts of sleep from Patrick’s mind.
Patrick is a beat reporter who covers the good deeds of the local superhero, the Bolt. When the Bolt is injured one evening and in need of help, he goes to Patrick and they fall into a fast friendship.
David, feeling isolated and alone from his time spent keeping the city safe from all sorts of threats, is struggling to keep his newly opened store afloat amid his busy crime fighting schedule.
In which love proves to be faster than a speeding bullet.
Once upon a time, in a land not so very unlike our own, men and magic existed side by side. The Lord and Lady Rose, cursed along with their daughter to live as wild creatures of the sky, leave behind a single son, emotionally broken but physically whole. Stricken silent by the same magic that stole his family, he finds a glimmer of hope buried in a conversation with a kind stranger—all curses can be broken, if he simply pays the price. A price higher than anyone has a right to ask: three sweaters, spun and knit from the fibers of a plant covered in barbs that tear into his skin at every touch, rip him open with every stitch.
He has a year and a day, to work, to hurt, to meet and befriend the townsfolk who took him in after fleeing his parents' home. And one particular brewer, a man who might do more than help repair his torn skin. Who might be the only one to repair his shattered heart. He has no voice, and time is running out—but the ways of the universe are a mystery, and the deepest magics of all are always rooted in love.
