Jīn ZiXuān's fingers tighten around the hilt of SuìHuá. Fear etched through the crevices of his ever-beating heart. He heard the roars. The shouts. He noticed the bloodlust that rolled of in waves. Still, he's left breathless.

    Then...

SuìHuá's buried within Wèi WúXiàn's chest. His gaze filled with confusion. Surprise. Hurt. Betrayal.

Jīn ZiXuān's lips are parted in horror. His fingers trembling. He hears the agonizing roar that leaves Wēn Níng's lips. The haunting cry from ChénQíng.

    Oh.

    Oh.

"No..." He whispers. He turns towards the perpetrator. Jīn ZiXún's lips are curled upwards. Smugness coating his very being.

How hadn't he noticed? How had he been blinded?

    A heartbeat.

    What had they done?

    What had he done?

That day marked the birthing of Wen Ruohan's sole (yes sole, fuck off) heir to the great Wen Sect and Lan Jingyi's descent into figuring out how the hell he's suppose to survive the next couple of decades as the son of the man who basically obliterated the cultivation world into damnation.

(Or: Lan Jingyi saves the cultivation world. He gets a father along the way and a profound understanding to Lan Qiren's homicidal urges when it comes to Wei Wuxian.)

No one expects it when the last of the Wen Remnants don’t die peacefully. No one expects the consequences of it, either.

    Summary

“You can’t take Hanguang-Jun!” The humans cry out angrily, piteously. Stupidly. So very stupidly.

What did they know? The wretches had the same negative attitude about the living status of their Necromancer -- and look who had been wrong in the end!

The Yiling Burial Grounds Crows were definitely going to abscond with the white-plumed human their Necromancer was obviously enamored with.

    And that was that.

    Periodt.
In which the Yiling Crows procure a certain White-Plumed human as part of a restitution campaign for all the injustices suffered by the CrowDemon!WWX.

    Summary

    Wei WuXian dead?

    Nah, bro.

The Yiling Burial Ground Crows refuse to acknowledge this narrative. No, sir. They didn't absorb all that resentful energy and mutate an inhuman intelligence and become magical murder allies with the crazy necromancer that moved in on their turf just to lose to these stupid sword-fliers.

They deny reality so hard that they manage to bring their favorite non-corvid back from...where ever he was hanging out.

    More or less.

In which the Yiling crows beat Mo XuanYu to the punch and somehow bring a very confused Wei WuXian back as some kind of minor crow god.
