After Diego does his best to not make being introduced to a ghost he can’t see awkward as hell and Ben and him excuse themselves with a crack about giving them some privacy, Klaus nearly tackles Dave in a hug, wrapping his arms around him and burrowing his face into his neck. He smells nearly the same as he always did, the only trace of the grave the slight smell of blood— mostly, he smells like sweat and dirt and gunpowder, and underneath like Dave.
“I missed you,” Klaus tells him, voice thick. “I really, really missed you.”
