Canon divergence where sqx finds out about swd’s actions himself. Beautifully written with an almost canon compliant feel to it, exploring beefleaf’s relationship under slightly different conditions. Sort of enemies to lovers with a happy ending.

Summary
Shang Qinghua is nothing more than a humble author. His fanbase is neither tiny nor big. He has a few loyal fans. His latest book was his treasure, his baby. He put his heart and soul into it. Some of the characters are nothing but a figment of his imagination, others are based on the people he knows, and then there are those he could only dream of. During one of the book signing events, the man of his dreams appears in complete cosplay of one of his favourite characters, as if his wet dream had come to life.
Mobei Jun never understood the enthusiasm fans could have, until he stumbled upon a certain book one day. He hadn’t realized that his favourite character was a reflection of the author himself, until he came face-to-face with him at a book signing event.
