Summary
Yugi is a normal boy. His only goal is to get good grades. Unfortunately he's also an easy target for all the neighborhood bullies, which has just made life more of a living hell than it already is. His only friend is a sweet girl named Tea. Yugi's fine with just standing on the sidelines and watching as others strive for greatness. So why does he feel like he's forgotten something? And why is it that only a Dual Monster card with a purple armored magician and no stats or name is the only thing that gives him any kind of solace now-a-days?

Geralt is not making a nest. Jaskier has noticed this. Geralt is in fact drinking a rather foul-smelling potion that sours the sweetness of his scent and muffles its otherwise obvious meaning.
“Does that stop heat?” Jaskier asks curiously, absentmindedly tuning his lute as he speaks. He hadn’t thought anything could, but, well . . . witchers and their potions.
“No,” Geralt says darkly.

Jaskier wasn’t in Oxenfurt: that much Geralt knew. So he needed to keep looking. He thought of the rumours of the beast stalking the empty miles around Oxenfurt, and spurred Roach into a canter.
Geralt, finding it too late to head North for the winter, decides to finally take Jaskier up on his offer to attend the Winter Bardic Competition. But when he arrives in Oxenfurt, Jaskier has vanished, and there’s rumours of an awful beast stalking the lands. Geralt must set out to find him - before the flighty bard finds himself in the jaws of a monster.

Jaskier thinks he hit rock bottom when Geralt flushed twenty years of friendship down the drain, but then he finds himself suddenly translucent and rudely walked through by a traveller. Apparently he's dead - that's certainly a new low. He needs to find out what happened, and who better to help him than the man who's made more than clear he wants nothing to do with him.

“What’s wrong?” Geralt rumbles again, does one last check over their campsite in case he’d missed something. Nothing out of place, just the smoking remains of their fire, their bedrolls surrounding it, and Roach grazing peacefully off to the side, shooting the two of them a disdainful look for making such a racket this early in the morning.
“What’s wrong—” Jaskier sputters, calling Geralt’s attention back to himself, “what’s wrong? Geralt, what the hell are these!”
