Summary
There was a time in fourth grade where Jehan read King of Shadows and then proceeded to read every book the school library owned about William Shakespeare, no matter how dull or loquacious the autobiography
Jehan admits that saying he gets a bit obsessive would be rather an understatement.

Summary
You're not a soldier, but you can sure as hell fight.
You're not a medical doctor, but you're going to save lives, you're going to save cities, you're going to save the entire fucking world.
You're not built for the front lines, but you're not just going to sit back and watch it happen.
You'd never be mistaken for a hero, so that's exactly what you're going to be.

Summary
"Did you think I was funny? The thing I said - the horse thing?"
"Um," Enjolras glances at the open door. "Sure."
"'Cause I don't think he did." The guy continues, pushing away from the wall with an unsteady arm.
"Well," Enjolras wonders who this guy is, wonders when he's going to leave so Enjolras can piss and go back to his conversation with Courfeyrac and Combeferre. "I don't think any guy wants to be told he doesn't know how to use his dick while he's - making out?”

Summary
A living situation he doesn't want, a pile of responsibilities he never asked for, and another semester in a city that won't ever feel like home—Juno Steel's third year of college is off to a fantastic start. Really.
The last thing he should be worrying about is his new roommate.
Feat. too much cake, not enough honesty, movie nights, betrayal, heartbreak, love, and Mick Mercury's hovercycle.

Summary
Steve has his life in order, okay. He goes to wizard college, even if he can't technically do magic. He has his own apartment, even though it's small and dinky and kind of gross, and forgets to exist sometimes, and might also be alive? Plus, he has a crush on the hot cyborg in unit 404 who cooks fiendishly good breakfast foods, and may or may not have some kind of weird connection to the sentient building they live in. He's not sure.
He's dealing, all right, his life is in tip-top condition, or it was until an eldritch monstrosity called the Hydra started posing as a real estate company to try and buy over his new home.
He's really pissed about that.
(The one where Steve is an angry millennial wizard, Sam is a Disney prince, Natasha is a shapeshifter, and Bucky is a spoiler.)

Summary
Eyes narrowed, the driver gives [Salim] a reproving look.
"I don't think you are telling the truth," he says, glancing at Salim's bag and sling.
"I was trying to get to Ubar," Salim admits. "I sometimes walk in my sleep."
"Ubar," says the driver, thoughtfully. "The City of Pillars on the old Incense Road. Allah destroyed it, you know. Covered it in sand from foundations to spires. Now, it is Irem, City of the Jinn."
"Yes," Salim says, comforted by the familiar sound of the name. "That is the place."
"Well, get in," says the driver, rubbing his arms vigorously. "We don't have all night."

Summary
Jessica Hoang takes her job very seriously. It’s odd, or uncommon, as she’s learned- people are always so surprised when she seems more loyal to Lena Luthor than the advancement of her own career. She used to think that the whole trope of secretaries selling out their bosses for personal gain existed only in bad TV shows, but, as always, she overestimates the human race.
So when Kara Danvers the reporter starts showing up more often, she’s wary and a little irritated. Yes, Lena said to let her in at any time, so she does so dutifully, but she’s seen her share of reporters and she’s not impressed with the bunch. Words are their trade, and it wouldn’t take much to motivate a reporter to twist Lena’s image around for a pretty buck.
