Marinette’s shimmering blue eyes stared down at him through her lashes like he was the center of her entire universe, her smile blinding and bright and beautiful. Her loose hair cascaded several inches longer than the Marinette he knew, and she wore an oversized T-shirt he knew for a fact was his, but what really caught his attention was the golden engagement ring with a modest diamond and matching eternity band on her left ring finger, and his heart stuttered to a stop at the realization of what, exactly, that meant.

Marinette takes a deep breath and tries not to laugh out loud, because class is about to start and if she lets this laugh into the world it will build into full-on hysteria, and she doesn’t have time for that.
And if she laughs out loud, she’ll have to explain to Alya and Nino that she’s laughing because Adrien is Chat Noir. She doesn’t think he’d appreciate her just blurting it out like that.
OR: that time Adrien is revealed because he's a giant dork who makes his ringtone Lovebug by the Jonas Brothers

She had to stifle a sad smile. That was the ironic part, wasn’t it? As much as her relationship with Adrien, and Ladybug’s with Chat’s, hadn’t changed, everything about Marinette’s relationship with Chat Noir had changed.
