Summary
“What if I don’t know the answer to some of the questions?” Steve asks, looking up from the table.
“Then you leave it blank or ask me, I guess,” Phil says. His gaze cuts to the paper and then away, trying to not be nosy or something.
“Can I put down null or unknown for secondary gender?” That’s what he used to do.
The pause is uncomfortable. “Null? Well, is that accurate?”
“I used to be. I had the serum and nothing has changed as far as I know.”
“Well, my understanding of null means you’ve never popped a knot or gotten slick? Just… never.”
“That’s correct,” Steve says. And Steve’s feeling something that might be embarrassment. Maybe shame? It’s awful to be a freak again.

Summary
This is my big rant about the end of supernatural and writing it was cathartic as well as ultimately hopeful. I hope it helps anyone who's depressed over the slop we were just served. Not wincest friendly. if you're a wincest person who is still thinking you got a good ending, don't read this.

Summary
It’s cozy enough and dark enough to go back to sleep, and Steve drops back down into dozing as Bucky smooths a broad, sleep-clumsy hand down his arm, squeezing the muscle to ease the aches Steve wakes up with from their creaking, saggy bed. Bucky’s warm breath against his neck is slow and even enough as he slides his hand along Steve’s waist and presses a thumb into his spine that Bucky must still be half asleep himself, working on muscle memory to find the knots in Steve’s back.

Summary
Back in Brooklyn and before the war, Steve and Bucky embarked on a dominant/submissive relationship with carefully negotiated rules and boundaries. It followed them overseas, even when Steve was no longer small and easy to heave over Bucky's lap, right up until Bucky "died." But it was hard for Steve to let go of his rules, the ones that had always left him feeling safe. Even after he woke up from the ice.
But when Bucky came back, it wasn't like everything just got to slide back in place. Took a long time for Bucky to even kiss him again that Steve isn't sure he can even mention the way they used to be. But when Steve does something he knows violates the first, most important rule and Bucky gives him a look of disappointment, guilt starts to build. Not just for this event, but for everything that he's kept inside since Bucky went away all those years ago.
