Summary
It was just a flash - happening so quickly that he couldn't even be sure that he saw anything but, nonetheless, Bakugo returns back to where he saw that bright, beautiful gleam of red, hoping to be able to see it again. After a few hours of staring down into the ocean without seeing anything out of the ordinary, he's right at believing that he hadn't actually saw anything.
He takes a break then gives him just a little while longer. Stepping back into the water, he sinks under the surface and comes face to face with not only that bright red but the inquisitive, delighted face of a merman!
Surging forward, the redheaded merman wrapped his arms tightly around Bakugo, crying out happily, 'You came back! I've been waiting for you!'.
