“I’ll kiss her,” you say, before you can really think through what that means. Everyone turns to look at you. Shelby’s eyes burn into you like you’re touching the fire. You flick your gaze around and take in everyone’s expressions. Rachel’s face is scrunched in confusion, probably not understanding why you’d volunteer for this. Which is a fair question. Fatin has a smirk on her face like she knows something you don’t, and you don’t have the time to think about what that could mean. Leah’s nodding, like this just makes more sense to her anyways. And Shelby. She’s looking at you, and it seems like a million things are running through her head. She looks relieved; nervous; excited. Her eyes ask you a question that you don’t know how to answer.
