Zuko held very little fear of death. Pain, he was well accustomed to. Shame and pride were also sensations he knew well. But death?
Death was like an old friend. A mother figure. A watchful eye who sometimes whisked him away from the mortal realm to play.
(Or: Zuko is blessed with the gift of being reborn after dying. Life is still largely unkind to him.)
In which the gaang finds out about how Zuko got his scar
Featuring: Zuko giving Toph a piggyback ride, burning random crap at the Ember Island house, Zuko going on theater nerd rants, Aang and Zuko making friendship bracelets, and finally dealing with some of that bad old fashion long-repressed trauma.

Sokka gave him a sheepish smile. “It’s…well, you see, there’s this boy…”
Hakoda sighed and set down the sports section. This was going to take a while.
“He works at Barnes & Noble. At the big information desk in the middle. Every Saturday. And I really want to ask him for his number, but it’s super awkward because there’s always this other guy working the information desk at the same time. He’s old, like you. But I have a plan." Sokka’s eyes lit up deviously. “You come with me to Barnes & Noble today when they’re working and distract the old man. And while you have him distracted, I’ll swoop in and get the goods!”
Sokka has a plan to ask out the cute boy at the bookstore. Hakoda is a begrudging participant until he meets the boy's beautiful older coworker.

Based on this prompt: “What if post boiling rock Zuko avoids Hakoda not cause of his Father Trauma but cause he just finds him too hot to function around and eventually sokka catches on and cant decide between teasing zuko that he thinks his dad is hot or being grossed out”
Or: Hakoda is hot, and Zuko is in hell. Or, I guess, the boiling rock, ‘cuz he’s in hot water. (ba dum tss)
Mai and Zuko had the weirdest, most twisted, darkest romances the GAang had ever seen. Ty Lee thought they were sweet. Toph thought they were hilarious. Everyone else thought they were disturbed.
