Summary
Link narrows his eyes and walks over to the anvil. A hammer rests across it, decidedly not where he had last put it. He reaches his hand out, and his eyes catch something. A hat commonly worn by pirates, he realizes—when the cool blade of a rapier taps him lightly on his knuckles.
After the events on the docks, Captain Tetra needs to get out of town and fast. One thing stands in her way, however: an upstart young blacksmith with a vendetta against pirates.

Camelot has not fallen ever since Arthur Pendragon was on the throne. With armies looming on the horizon and as the only heir, Winry promised herself that she would not be the weak link that ends the long Pendragon line. She's not too proud to admit that she can't do everything on her own.
Edward is a long way from home, trusted just enough for his new duty to be a heavy weight on his already strained shoulders, and more alone than he's been in years. That last part might not be as true as he thought.

To a tin soldier, time doesn’t exist. The only time that they truly know is that of the child that plays with them. Much like any other toy, their world revolves around a child. They know when the child is asleep, when the child is at school, and when the child is doing chores that they don’t want to do but their parents will ground them if they don’t. Toys also know that time is completely suspended when the child is playing with them, using their imagination to create worlds and stories without number.
So to Edward, this was normal. All he needed was for a child to pick him up again. Not that he was ever played with before, but he was still a toy. So he waited. On the bottom of the ocean floor he waited, slowly sinking into the sand with the shifting currents.
