    Summary

Set a tad post-canon (a tad being about 28 years, give or take). Simon & Baz's twin teenagers have just finished their fifth year at Watford & the family makes their annual summer visit to Hampshire. There's something odd about the place, though, & this trip might just end in flames.

"The magic returned to Hampshire a long time ago, & so did the Grimms (Granddad & his family). I can really feel the fire in me there. Something about ancestral ground & all that.

I'm not talking in metaphors, either. I've got a literal fire inside me. I come from two long lines of fire mages - the Pitches & the Grimms - & when we go there I can feel the fire trying to burn its way out of me, sometimes. My feet start to feel like I've gone for a really long walk, like there's only a thin layer between them & a bed of hot embers. & when I can really reach down deep & harness that power...Crowley, it feels like I could conquer the world."

Updates are currently sporadic as I had no idea I'd be writing a series when I first started & I want to avoid retconning as much as possible! Thanks for your patience 💜

    “I have standards,” Aziraphale huffed.

“Don’t I know it,” Crowley sighed. And then, like he’d done it a hundred times before, he covered Aziraphale’s hand with his.

    Summary

After everything, Aziraphale and Crowley, by unspoken agreement, begin sharing their lives.
    ---
Why? Aziraphale wanted to ask him, why millennia of the way things were, and now this?

But while Crowley seemed to have little issue upending every unspoken rule they’d ever written for themselves, Aziraphale was not so flexible, and they had spent thousands of years never quite addressing whatever it was this had stemmed from. Words, Aziraphale had always felt, were for bickering about where to eat for lunch, or hashing out ontological debates, or other trivial nonsense; there was no need to trifle with the imprecision of language, with phrasing and the possibility of being misconstrued, when it came to important matters if the other person simply understood, without needing it said. Six thousand years ago, when Aziraphale had met Crowley on the wall of Eden, watching the first two humans set out to begin the rest of history, something deep within him, more central even than his Grace, had thought, oh, it’s you, and that had been enough for him--for both of them, he assumed--for three millennia.

However much he wanted to ask, he didn’t know how. The words simply weren’t there.

    Summary

And there it is, isn’t it? Something they’ve known for a long time, but haven’t named it. Have been too scared to name it. Something that speaks in their bones, in the space between them.

Crowley and Aziraphale are turned human. This is the aftermath.

    Summary

The first time Crawley meets the angel, the celestial being is twisting its shining white robe in its fingers and looking wretched. It hardly spares him a glance as he shifts from snake to human, and Crawley is a touch put-out. It’s taken some practice to be able to do it so fluidly.

A story of Crowley's thoughts about Aziraphale, from the Beginning to the present day.

And also of temptation, and want, and whether - for a Fallen Angel - redemption is possible after all.
