Canon-compliant up to most of DH, more than 10 years later in a hyper-magical, post-apocalyptic Britain, a spectator sneaks into the empty Once-Ministry to watch Harry Potter and Voldemort's final duel.
Unfortunately, just as victory finally arrives, an unlikely escape triggers an unexpected beginning.
In all honesty, Jake was surprised he didn’t figure out his ex wife and his best friend were together sooner. He really should have seen it coming. It should have hit him when Marcus offered to host their Christmas get together this year, or when he pulled in to find Abby’s car already parked comfortably next to Marcus’ BMW, or when Abby opened the door still wearing an apron, but not her shoes.

It's Freshman Orientation Weekend at Mt. Weather University. Clarke Griffin's mom has bought out the entire closet organization aisle at the local Target, while Octavia Blake's dad has sent her to college with only one towel. While Clarke gets to know her new roommate (and her roommate's hot older brother), single mom Abby Griffin and single dad Marcus Kane bond over shopping for sheets and lamps and school supplies and watching their baby girls start their new lives, while maybe - just maybe - finding a fresh start of their own.
For years, Marcus Kane was Abby and Jake Griffin’s best friend—one of the couple’s closest confidants, Jake’s partner in crime, and surrogate uncle to the Griffins’ daughter, Clarke. But a year and a half after Jake’s tragic death shook their small town of Arkadia to its core, Marcus and Abby’s friendship ended abruptly.
Now, the following summer, the two are brought together to play Beatrice and Benedick in a community theater production of Much Ado About Nothing. This story follows Abby as she and Marcus allow themselves to fall back into old patterns of friendship, and as they wrestle with the events that drove them apart.
Featuring Bellamy as the director and dramaturg and Indra as the opinionated but lovable local coffee shop owner.
