Blondie—Diane blinks. She takes Sam’s proffered hand. “Diane,” she agrees, a little reluctant, like she wishes she could say it wasn’t. “Diane Chambers.”

Lakemont Place is a self-proclaimed “thrifty” island amusement park. Scully slides sunglasses down her nose and pedantically explains that there are no islands in the middle of Pennsylvania. The park whirs and hums and twinkles in early evening light, with the last late-season stragglers making their way out of the front gates. From somewhere to their left, carousel music.

If Leia is being truly honest with herself, which she usually is. Though not on this subject. On the subject of Han, she is coy and elusive with herself, watching herself from a safe distance with a silent smirk most of the time. But for this one brief moment, she allows herself to be open to the possibility of admitting to herself that maybe, possibly, theoretically... kissing Han Solo is the kind of thing she wants to do.
