Draco loses a bet to Pansy and Blaise which leaves him wearing a skirt for a whole week. Harry discovers something about himself.
“I may not know Muggle composers, but I do know Muggle philosophers: ‘Man is by nature a political animal’,” Harry hissed softly. “But, I have no interest in being an animal. I want to be a monster, and I think you know the game far better than the way you’re playing.”
Harry’s eyes widened, and his breath was strangled in his lungs. He waited for Riddle to respond, wondering if he’d played his hand too early.
But, then, Riddle tilted his head, and a terrifying smile crossed his face.
“Mr. Potter, you are not what I expected,” Riddle said.
And so Harry said, “Good. Do I have your attention, Mr. Riddle?”
On May 2, 1998, The Dark Lord meets his end in the Great Hall of Hogwarts. He reawakens in his orphanage in 1938, as the child he once was.
Presented with the chance to relive his wasted life, Lord Voldemort erases history and forges the future of Wizarding Britain in his infallible image.
Unfortunately for him, Harry Potter is granted the same gift.
Riddle’s undivided attention snapped to him with the swiftness of shattering glass. His turbulent magic receded from where it had besieged the shop.
"You,” he breathed.
Coiling in leisurely motions, the eager tendrils of his magic reached for Harry, swathing about his limbs and neck and chest with a liquid, flowing fascination.
"I’ve been looking for you,” Riddle continued, tilting his head to the side and sweeping his gaze over Harry. It was an appraisal that felt simultaneously like the raking of iron nails and the tender drapery of silk.
It was so familiar, and yet… so foreign.
In the winding streets of Knockturn Alley, an intricate dance of mutual obsession unravels between twenty-three-year-old Tom Riddle and a time-travelling Harry Potter.
