    Summary

Jamie Fraser already had one great love. He never expected to feel anything for anyone again, least of all for a stubborn, infuriating, (impossibly handsome) English Lord. But John Grey is stirring up desires that Jamie thought long dead and a man can only resist for so long.

    Summary

Set in 1766 - Jamie Fraser has set up his printing shop in Edinburgh and John Grey has married Isobel Dunsany and is bringing up William Ransom, knowing him to be the son of Jamie.
On a wet night in June, a stranger appears in the print shop with urgent news for Jamie that will cause him to pack up and set off on a dangerous mission to rescue his son from kidnappers. The ransom they demand takes the form of sapphires, including those of John Grey who accompanies Jamie on his quest.

Please note, that the characters and premise have sprung from canon, but I've taken them and made my own story around them, which may not suit everyone's interpretation of the Outlander universe. However, if we can be asked to believe in very pinpoint, accurate time travel through a standing stone, then surely suspension of disbelief comes with the territory.

Jamie and Claire are old acquaintances in this Outlander alternative universe.

Claire is a physician and general surgeon who returns to London with her son after living in Canada for almost 10 years.

Jamie is a renowned firefighter in the UK, well-known for his reputation as an excellent Chief for the Fire Department of London and, during his time off, for being one of the most perfect lovers that a woman could ask for.

How will the paths of such different people eventually cross again?

    Summary

An Outlander AU based loosely on the TV Show and real life in the historic Jamestown

In 1619, one hundred and forty-four English women from good families crossed the Atlantic in response to the Virginia Company of London’s call for maids “young and corrupt” to make wives for the planters of it’s new colony in Virginia. One in six of the maids could even claim gentry status. Although promised a free choice of husband, they were in effect being traded into marriage for a bride price of 150 pounds of best leaf tobacco, the profits to flow to individual investors

In 1619, Claire Elizabeth Beauchamp made the voyage to do one thing: marry a man she's never met. But when she arrives, she comes to the startling realization that her heart belongs to someone else, a certain James Alexander Malcolm Mackenzie Fraser.
