Central Texas is hit with a freak February blizzard causing record snowfall, a collapse of the power grid, freezing temperatures, and burst pipes. Austinite Jensen Ackles is keeping warm in his lakeside home with his fireplace, chef quality gas stove, and warm winter activewear. The arrival of snow-covered Jared Padalecki dressed in beanie, shorts, and compression tights to 'rescue' Jensen with an ATV full of water, Power Bars, and condoms will warm things up considerably.

Bonus: boys already were doing it without any help, but now they are confused, because they don't do it like Becky describes it. Maybe it's who tops who bottoms, maybe it's kinks, etc… Becky comes across Chuck's typewriter and writes her own slash fic about Sam and Dean, not realizing that it is more than just words on the page. -

There several good things about this fic:
1) It's a pre-series fic (Sam is 16) where John actually has both boys involved in hunting
2) Sam is pining for Dean and Dean seems somewhat oblivious, but there's low angst/sniping between the brothers
3) John has a friend! A military buddy, which leads to this particularly nice observation by Sam:
Dad is beaming. It's not something Sam remembers seeing on his dad, as if his dad is someone else, someone happy, someone Sam doesn't know at all. Usually Dad reminds him of the angry spirits they hunt – pale shades of humanity that time and tragedy have stripped down to harsh outlines. But now, Sam catches a glimpse of the man his dad might have been and something sad closes over him at the loss.
4) Sam's introduction to the school and the pretend boy friend background store are seamless and not clunky or forced.
5) The rich kids sex magic for gain plot is cogent and calls "Malleus Maleficarum" to mind
6) The UST between Sam and Dean is hot, and the ultimate sex scene is good
7) Sam's kink for being drawn on his really hotWhat was just okay for me:
1) John disappears out of the story at some point.
2) The kids at this private school have Buffy levels of denial
3) I wish there had been more Sam/Dean, which is not a complaint, really, that's always a yes
4) Some mild typos and grammar issues
5) Some mild canon issues (Dean draws a Devil's Trap on Sam, but the boys won't learn what a Devil's Trap is until 1.22 "Devil's Trap" when Bobby shows them that's he's just discovered it), Dean's more conversant with Latin at this point than he will be in Season One. -
