Summary
This is the story of a young consulting detective who wants nothing to do with marriage and an army doctor who wants to find true love. It's 2020 post-Brexit England and the British government is encouraging arranged marriages. Candidates meet through state-run agencies and date in hopes of finding love (and tax benefits). Sherlock doesn't need or want a spouse, at least not until John Watson shows up. Hesitant to give in to his more carnal urges because of the way they derail his mind, how will Sherlock progress toward the more intimate aspects of a relationship? The answer lies in a very special wedding gift.

Summary
Lots of people have told me that they skipped this one because the title led them to believe it was literally about dolphins having sex, or the title confused them, or sounded too cracky. Others have said that the only reason they read this was because of the title. So, just to clarify ...
*** NO DOLPHINS HAVE SEX IN THIS SERIES! IT'S NOT ACTUALLY MUCH ABOUT DOLPHINS AT ALL! ***
Johnlock, through and through. Give it a go, I think you'll like it.

It begins small, almost reluctantly; a grudging obeisance to the pagan history that exists in the modern world.

THIS. THIS IS EVERYTHING. The cozy domestic scene while a storm rages outside, and the quiet, building storm raging between these two men, the idea of time travel, the food and drink, the conversation making its way in its own time, the two of them being SO THEMSELVES. I LOVE THIS ONE SO MUCH.

Absolutely loved this. It’s charming and clever and sweet and exactly what I needed. A mobile library, Sherlock in a remote Scottish cottage, a reluctant John Watson falling into Holmesian step just like he’s meant to ... brilliant all ‘round.

Summary
“Romantic entanglement, while fulfilling for other people—”
“—would complete you as a human being.”After the Culverton Smith case Sherlock is clean, working, and looking for a romantic partner—since John has told him that’s what he needs. Shame John didn’t mention he was interested in that role himself, before Sherlock went off to Rome with a gorgeous Italian copper to try to fall in love and become a complete human being.

Bookmarker's Notes
I’ve known Silvergirl for several years now and can say without exaggeration that she is one of the kindest and most intelligent people I’ve ever met. When you combine kindness and intelligence you occasionally find a creative work such as this one. The writing is excellent, you’ll find no grammatical struggles here, no pacing issues, nothing excess to the brilliant plot. And although that’s necessary for a good work, that’s not what makes this story shine as brilliantly as it does. This is a character study, an emotional fix-it, a psychological journey from a place of tremendous pain and loss, through earnest but ill-footed attempts at redemption and distraction, and back to peace and acceptance, understanding and resolution: to love. Silvergirl may be late to add her talents to the trove of Sherlock fic classics, but her story belongs right up there with other long-held fandom favorites.

Summary
They hadn’t seen each other since Autumn, when John’s power had been fading and Sherlock’s growing. Now that it was Spring, the balances were shifting again, and Sherlock drank in the signs of John’s increasing vitality. The Summer King’s hair, dulled silver during the cold Winter months, was beginning to sprout threads of gold again; the skin peeking out of his warm clothing, too pale still, was regaining its bronzed tones.
“It’s been a long Winter,” John accused, his words billowing into the air. Sherlock inhaled deeply, pulling that damp, Summer-sweet cloud into his lungs. “Your eyes are as icy as ever, but I swear,” he pulled a hand from his coat pocket and reached up, “every Spring, when I touch you…” His burning hot fingertips brushed Sherlock’s frozen cheek, and the Winter King gasped, a shudder rippling through his body as his gaze bore into John’s, “…they melt.”

Bookmarker's Notes
Absolutely delicious faery story in which Sherlock is the Winter King and John is the Summer King. Heady, earthy, magical, these two meet up as their power balance reaches equilibrium, risking frostbite and burns, as they unleash their passion on each other. Sex that creates weather patterns? Yes please.
