Jeno looks at Jaemin. He seems neutral, like he doesn’t care at all, returning Jeno’s gaze with a quiet kind of indifference. Just making sure.
Jeno wants to say, how can you ask that of me? How can you kiss me like that without meaning it? How can you expect me to not feel any different? Friends don’t make out, not even to teach. They just don’t do that.
‘No,’ Jeno says. ‘Nothing’s changed.’

“Laws of the universe, huh?” Jaemin nods emphatically.
“I don’t make the rules; I just have to follow them."
