So in the mornings she ran, miles and miles, tearing through the brushpaths forest creatures made; feeling that strong heart work hard for her, feeling like a feral creature that had been locked in a cage it’s entire life, finally tasting freedom. She imagined not going back, every morning, as she ran until her legs felt wobbly.

“Oh, barf,” Harrow’s face was a grotesque mockery of annoyance. And then: “Yeah, right.”
“Yeah, right,” Gideon huffed, and to make a show of it, she penned her name into the audition list. Harrow’s eyes flashed as she penned her own under Bess.
“You are not going to threaten me out of my role, Griddle. If it happens, it happens. I could care less about who I’m kissing up there, even if it’s you.”
“Yeah, well, don’t threaten me with a good time, Nonagesimus.”An unlikely pair are cast in their college's production of The Highwayman. Harrowhark Nonagesimus and Gideon Nav stopped speaking to each other in highschool - now they find themselves having to work together on the stage. Harrow is still obsessed with bones because of course she is.

Summary
Gideon Nav loves the Renaissance Faire. It’s her second home, and during Faire season it is her only home. She had been performing since she was a child all thanks to her parents. A recent high school graduate, Gideon was thrilled to finally work full time at the Faire. She had played minor roles as a knight for the past few years, but getting a major role with lines was her dream.
Then members of a different Faire join Gideon's precious Canaan Faire while theirs is undergoing renovations. The Dominicus Faire is filled with nothing but rich prep school kids, and Gideon's longtime rival Harrowhark Nonagesimus. To make matters worse, this season involves the knights being bound to the actors portraying the king's royal advisors. Which means that a knight and advisor will spend the whole Faire day by each other's sides.
And guess who Gideon Nav is stuck with.
