Summary
People often say that their heart belongs to the person they love. This statement is adamantly false; the person you love cannot own your heart. If the person you loved owned your heart, you would have to be dead, as your heart would no longer be in your body.

Summary
The shade falls, and Cassandra wipes her brow, before turning and running up the path to begin slicing into the wraith. How does she do that in full armor? Lily wonders, before snatching up the staff, running to the wraith, and hitting it over the head with the weighted end.
It shrieks as it dies, and both Lily and Cassandra pause for a moment, breathing heavily. Technically, Lily did less than Cassandra, but she has asthma and is at a high altitude, so she’ll cut herself some slack.
“So. You do not know how to use the staff.”
“I didn’t know I was a mage until twenty minutes ago.”
“That…is a fair point.” They share a glance, and keep moving.
*******
Lily did not expect to wake up in a dungeon. She also did not expect to somehow have traveled dimensions, ended up in Thedas, ended up at the Conclave, and have people revere her as a champion of a heavily Christian-coded religion. She's Jewish, for fuck's sake, not to mention a teenager, mentally ill, and stuck without any of her meds in a world where people don't know the definition of neurochemistry.
This will not be fun.

Summary
Lugh had always known his sister was sky touched. She had knowledge beyond her years, had screamed for the gods since her first breath. So when the Lady of the Sky screamed as her skin was torn, and Aria had stared at the wound in horror, he had waited for her words.
“We have to go to Haven.” She breathed.
“I shall begin to pack.” He agreed, then reconsidered. “Or shall you pack and I shall tell our mother?”Bookmarked by elfblooded

And then the Conclave he was supposed to peacekeep blew up, and now the humans are calling him the Herald of Andraste. To top it off, demons are spilling from tears in the sky, the Divine is dead, the Chantry is losing its mind, and it all has something to do with the strange mark on his left hand.
And that’s just the start of it.

Bookmarker's Notes
“Yeah. Was a little difficult to find a spot to pitch our tents, but this is good. If anything happens, the Chargers can hold the walls.” Then with the grace of a swan gliding across a still lake, Iron Bull says, “Glad to see you’re not ready to fry me at the drop of a hat anymore.”
Adaar thinks nothing of it. “I’d be more likely to freeze you, but yes. I realized it would be rather foolish of the Qunari to assassinate me and risk war with all the south’s faithful. Even those who condemn me as a heretic would jump at the opportunity to spill Grey blood.”
yesss, Adaar. former saarebas who is just. so done.

Summary
littlebastardreviews posted the collected facts from the 2014 UK Editions of Harry Potter: and this fact caught my eye.
'Only one non-magical person has ever managed to get as far as the Hogwarts Sorting Hat before being exposed as a Squib.'
But, gosh it just makes me want a story where a squib did make it through. So here's a drabble about a squib with a quick mind and a hand-me-down wand, who refuses to be denied her birthright.
--
when the hat drops over her eyes it asks, 'well what do we have here?'
she’s got a forged hogwarts letter with penmanship that’s perfect down to the ink splatter;
she’s got a complicated string of owls, only half of them forged, from parents to administration to ministry that’s so complicated her name ended up on the first year roll call anyway.
she’s got ten arguments, four pleas, and one smothered threat on the tip of her mental tongue for why the house that comes out of this hat’s brim better not be 'squib'
she’s got a lighter up her sleeve and an eight and a half inch wand in her belt that will never, ever work for her.
'well,' says the hat, 'better be slytherin then'
