So if you care to find me,
Look to the Yiling skies!
As we once swore, Lan Wangji —
Live with no regrets, stand with the right!
And if I'm standing solo
At least these Wens are free!
If you won't stop us,
Take a message back for me:Tell them I'm fine with resentful energy!
The yinhufu's mine, I'll defy society!
And soon I'll match them in renownWicked: The Musical, but it's Mo Dao Zu Shi

Summary
It happened like this: Jin Ling was a sect leader now, which was, and Jingyi really meant this, fucking hilarious. There were few things funnier, in his honest opinion.
Because he was young, and inexperienced, and also — it had to be said — a real shithead, there was apparently some belief amongst his advisors that the best way forward, to promote the picture of a stable, mature sect leader who absolutely did not cry at the drop of a hat, was for Jin Ling to get married.
-
OR: Jin Ling and Jingyi get engaged.
Things spiral from there.

Summary
So the thing about being a professional submissive, in Wei Ying’s opinion, is that it requires a lot more project management than most people think. Like, when he tells people about his job, they’re always like “oh but how do you take care of the bruises,” or “how do you store your elaborate harness get-ups” and sure, he has plans for all of that, but no one is asking the real questions, like “How do you remember everyone’s preferred forms of address and also all of their physical home addresses?”
He’s definitely going to have a whole chapter on database management and information storage in his thesis (Plan D: Precarious Labour and the Grey Economy, a comparative perspective).
Which is how he ends up going “Oh no, sir, not the clamps! I mean, shit, fuck, daddy, don’t.” He’s definitely not getting a tip today.

Jin Guangyao hopes, he tells Jiang Wanyin with the lightest of touches to his elbow, that Jiang Wanyin will not hesitate to be a friend as well as a guest in his home. To avail himself of whatever he likes that belongs to Jin Guangyao while he is under this roof.
Jiang Wanyin is mildly bemused by the odd parting remark. He does not mark it as he would if he knew the things Lan Xichen knows.
Lan Xichen understands exactly what Jin Guangyao is offering. Jin Guangyao’s eyes on him make certain that he does.

Summary
"During the Sunshot Campaign," Luo Qingyang began, “I began to have… doubts. Serious ones, about the treatment of your people.” She didn’t look at Wen Qing, staring instead at the little pot of soup bubbling on the fire. “Wen Ruohan was a monster. But—many of his soldiers were unwilling to the point of being hollowed out, mindless puppets. Many of his people were only—” She subsided. “I do not have to tell this to you, of all people. I apologize.”
“No need,” said Wen Qing quietly.
Luo Qingyang shook her head. “There is need,” she insisted. “Not for speaking to you of what you already know, perhaps, but for not allowing my doubts to stop me sooner.” Her hands smoothed over her knees. “By the time the war was over, I was not the only one doubting.”
Wen Qing raised her eyebrows. Wen defenders, among the Jin sect? What had happened to them? Where had they been, all these years? And then Luo Qingyang said, “people were wrong about Jin Zixuan, you know,” and she understood.
“People are wrong,” said Wen Qing, “about most people.”
