Shouto works at a local bookstore to support himself through college. It's not that bad of a gig. He gets a discount on school books, gets to read whatever he wants on his down time, and doesn't have any overly annoying co-workers. Between going to school and working he really doesn't do anything else with his life (other than the rare occasion where his friends drag him off). He doesn't know if this is what you would call living life to the fullest, but he's satisfied... probably.
Shouto doesn't understand people or connections, but that changes one day when a customer catches his attention. What starts as an unlikely friendship turns into an unlikely relationship that Shouto never thought he could ever have. Happiness he's never known before suddenly fills his life. Little does he know that his boyfriend is hiding a secret from him.

The figure yelped, dropping the tool they had in their hand and stumbling back until they fell. Todoroki brandished his weapon to the figure who stumbled over their words. He approached them until he could get a clear view of their face.
The gardener he had seen from a distance time and time again frantically tried to speak, staring at the dagger. Todoroki put his blade away, stretching out a hand to the sputtering servant.
"My apologies for threatening you. However, my original question still stands: what are you doing here?" Todoroki asked.
