    Summary

    As soon as Aubrey Thyme, psychotherapist, had opened her office door and seen her new client, Anthony J. Crowley, sitting in her waiting area, she was observing and assessing him. At first glance, she paid attention to the following:

    --His clothing was expensive and stylish;
    --He wore very strange but noticeable cologne;
    --His relationship to the seat he occupied could only, very loosely, be described as “sitting;”
    --He looked angry;
    --He was wearing sunglasses.

    What Aubrey Thyme, a professional, thought, upon first seeing her new client was: you’re going to be a fun one, aren’t you?

    Summary

    "They'll leave us alone. For a bit."

    One year after the Apocalypse-That-Wasn't, Crowley and Aziraphale have settled into a new routine: keeping an eye on supernatural happenings in the world and preventing Heaven or Hell from interfering too much with humanity. It's not a bad job - despite occasional rains of fish - and if there are some unspoken things they really ought to talk about, well, they have all the time in the world now to get around to that, right?

    At least, until the Archangel Raphael turns up on their doorstep looking for help... and it starts to become clear that the world is changing fast, and so are they.

    Or: Crowley and Aziraphale start a detective agency. Shenanigans ensue. Slowburn continues. Apparently, there is plot. I have some thoughts about Heaven, Hell, and humanism. There will be stupid jokes and a healthy sprinkling of angst.

    Summary

    “Aziraphale.”

    The name is a whisper. Hardly more than a breath; and it slips out, a careful caress between split, bloody lips.

    Aziraphale has him by the arm, and Crowley’s vision flares white as his broken wrist bends. They’ve passed Heaven’s gate. Beyond it is a white marble path, and beyond that, a ledge. Beneath, lies void space. Earth - and then Hell, lie an unfathomable distance below the emptiness.

    He won’t survive the fall a second time. Not bound as he is, wings bent and broken at his back.

    Aziraphale’s fingers are a brutal pressure around his skin.

    And it’s not Aziraphale’s touch. It’s not. But Crowley knows those hands, is intimately familiar with the soft, barely there callus on the inside of his angel’s thumb, of the cool pressure of his rounded, manicured nails. This is not Aziraphale, but Crowley grounds himself in what he recognizes in his touch.

    The edge is nearing, and reality is tightening like a rope round Crowley’s neck. Aziraphale’s grip is firm, and Crowley is spent. He can’t fight. Not even if he wanted to.

    “Angel,” Crowley says, a hoarse whisper. “Remember yourself. Remember me.”

    Summary

    “I don’t think his punishment is quite fair,” drawled Dagon, taking a step towards Aziraphale. He tries not to fidget. “Murder through holy water is not his only crime. He stopped our final, glorious battle against the forces of Heaven, he’s been lying and betraying Hell for thousands of years, fraternizing with an Angel, and--” her expression darkens-- “he never properly filled out any paperwork in his 6,000 year career. For his long list of crimes, simple death by holy water is much too… short a punishment.”

    The jeering of demons behind Aziraphale spikes. He didn’t think Crowley’s attitude about paperwork had gone down very well in Hell. Aziraphale feels like he’s had a bucket of cold water thrown onto him, and he hasn’t even gotten in the bath yet.

    or:

    Aziraphale's trial in Hell goes wrong. He has to deal with the consequences. Crowley tries to help.
