“Lena- Wha- Why’re you awake?”
“Kara-” That was all she was capable of as of the moment, because Kara was sitting up and flicking on the bedside lamp, letting Lena glimpse the small clock on the nightstand that read 4: 00 a.m.
Kara’s voice was all raspy and sleep-laden and she was looking at Lena with concern. She was looking at Lena like they’ve done this all the time. And they did.
Once.
She remembers jerking awake screaming from nightmares and Kara holding her; remembers waking up to Kara’s screams and holding her.
But this-
This wasn’t right.
“Did you have a nightmare?” She asks, crinkle forming. And Lena just stares and stares and-

Summary
Being an ex means she isn’t allowed many things. Means forbidden to see Lena, to listen to her heartbeat and even to visit L-Corp without having to set an appointment, it would seem.
But that doesn’t mean she won’t get her hands on any and every unprinted and printed article that CatCo or any other publication might have. Doesn’t mean she won’t be replaying the 40 minute TedTalk on the L-Corp initiative about integrating alien technology into human advancements, every other night. Summary
Alex's hands were on autopilot. That's what she has to do if she doesn't want her agents to see their director break down in front of them. She has to work emotionless, detached; pretend that her sister isn't the one fighting for her life on the operating table.
In the background she hears Brainy list off everything she has to know; diagnosis, possible treatment, survival rate...
She vaguely catches the words, "Director, I believe Lena Luthor—"
The moment Alex hears the name Luthor, she stops, looks at Brainy and then asks, "You telling me, I should let Lena Luthor in—"
But a voice cuts her off. Apparently, Lena was already in.
"Alex, I love her."
She whips her head and she doesn't see Lena. This isn't Lena. This is a desperate, pleading woman; green eyes heavy with emotion, body stiff and posture defensive.
"What?"
"I'm in love with your sister, and if that isn't reason enough to trust me to do this, then I don't know what else you want."

“Fucking finally,” Sam mutters under her breath, rolling her eyes at Lena as if Lena’s an idiot who should’ve seen this coming.
“I’m sorry what? What do you mean, ‘finally’?”
“Oh my God, do you seriously have no clue about it?”
“About what?” This time it was Kara who speaks up. They were having a Girls’ Night tonight, well, usually it was just a Kara and Lena night, but Sam came in for a rare visit and here they all are.
“About how Lena apparently is an idiot who still doesn’t know that Andrea has been making heart-eyes at her since Day 1,” Sam deadpans.

Summary
Vampires were real.
It wasn’t such a groundbreaking piece of information as you would think. It was a well-known fact, vampires had existed since the middle ages wherein a wannabe warlock had meddled with things he wasn’t supposed to.
From there vampires had only grown in numbers, at one point they were surpassing the human population. And then the Salem witch trials came, you can imagine what happened.
After that point in time, the vampire population had all but been exterminated. In fact, as far as common knowledge went, there was only one vampire that remained.
Lena Luthor. And she was looking for a secretary.or: Lena's a vampire, Kara is her new extremely smart secretary, and they have feelings for each other.

One row below hers and exactly four chairs apart; smirking at a friend—Kara surreptitiously prays that she is just a friend—and her eyes twinkling in a way that reminds Kara of the stars she used to watch every night through her childhood bedroom’s window.
And then her lips twitch, blossoming into a full smile that etches a shallow dimple right below the curve of a pale cheek, and Kara’s pretty sure she forgets how to breathe entirely.
or in which Kara is the newest CEO of EL Technologies and meets L-Corp’s CEO, Lena, at a business conference in London. But there’s more to their first meeting than just that, especially when Kara reveals that she has known Lena four years ago (and she may or may not have been in love with her ever since).
