Summary
Will’s thoughts were going in a very inappropriate direction, and he had a growing suspicion that they were being led in that direction by a firm, determined hand. He gave another half-hearted bark of a laugh and threw back the remaining coffee like a shot.
“Maybe Zeller and Price changed the wrong number’s ringtone. Jack’s not the one listening to me when I feel like I’m coming unhinged and feeding me the best damn food I’ve ever eaten in my life.”
“No,” Hannibal agreed quietly, “he is not.”
The tension and low thrum of arousal were making Will speak impulsively. He knew this, but he’d just finished his drink. There was nothing he could use to stop the question, blunt and presumptuous and rude.
“So, what, you’re my daddy?”

Summary
Hannibal will be in the kitchen now, finally allowing himself to appreciate the space of the house now that Will’s mother is no longer in it. Will can relate to that, at least, to that need to enjoy the space without her nagging and pushing and blatant desire for attention no one wants to give her. Will’s too young to feel sorry for his mother; he hates her instead.
In the summer of 1957, Hannibal is 38, Will Graham is 16. They meet on behest of Will’s mother, who is determined to get her unruly son under control, but Will is not just a boy, he is a gift. Beautiful, obstinate and impossible. And completely off limits to Hannibal by all moral and logical thinking.

He does consider: is perceived vulnerability more advantageous, truly, when one is not? Or does the perception have the negative effect of grating, as Will puts it, on the nerves and, therefore, encouraging of reclusivity, as if it would prove a point?
Will is not vulnerable. At least, not in any way one might think on first impressions.

Summary
“I have nightmares,” Will says one lunch, two weeks after he arrives at the school. He doesn’t know where the words come from, but he can’t stop them pouring out. “About the murder. But... not about being murdered. Or about it happening, not really. I have nightmares that I’m the murderer, and I’m the person who killed that girl.”
“And how do you feel,” Hannibal asks, calm and unruffled. “When you have these dreams? How do you feel when you imagine killing that girl?” His hand brushes against Will’s where it rests in the short space between them on the ground. Will barely notices their fingers lightly twining together.
- Now with a short sequel/second chapter.

Summary
Written for wiith-my-hands
Prompt: Younger Will visits the city for the first time to attend a conference when he takes a break for an afternoon in the park. He’s reviewing a case file when the sun gets to be too much and he takes off his shirt, figuring no one knows him and who would think anything of it on such a hot day in such a crowded place. But Hannibal notices. He, too, is attending the conference as a speaker when he spots Will in his lecture. He follows Will that afternoon, intrigued by his questions during the session, intending to kill him, but finding himself pulled instead by much different desires.
Kind of a departure from my usual style in a really fun way! :)
