Summary
While watching Mr. Mistoffelees performing his Conjuring Turns one afternoon, the Jellicles find themselves without their vague and aloof conjuring cat when he disappears, replaced by a stranger, wearing a strange jacket and a strange top hat, who looks nothing like their Mistoffelees.
Meanwhile, in a run-down theater somewhere else, the Jellicles are gathered together catching up when Mr. Mistoffelees suddenly disappears from his conversation with Victoria and is replaced with a sparklier, shorter cat who knows how to shoot lightning from his fingers.

Almost simultaneously, three objects - a green guitar pick, a drumstick and a patent black shoe, to be precise - sail through Julie's head.
She raises her head, body still flickering slightly where the projectiles had disappeared through her and shoots a glare at the three boys. The blonde on the drums looks sheepish but determined, drawing back his arm to throw his second stick at her. The other two are moving towards the drum kit, towards each other and the third boy, almost protectively. Julie snorts, she is 5'4'' and 110 pounds soaking wet, what did the boys have to be scared of?
"First off, very rude."
A 'the boys are alive/Julie dies and becomes a Phantom' AU.
