Summary
Ask anyone about Sokka and Zuko, and you’ll get a different story each time. Some people choose to tell about their brave exploits during the war, others would tell you about some chaos that the two stirred up. One thing that all of the stories had in common, though, was how close they were. Any time they were in the same room, they gravitated towards each other. Sometimes it was like they were of one mind.
---
5 times other people noticed how close Sokka and Zuko were and 1 time they noticed for themselves.

Summary
Zuko watched from his place on the outskirts as Sokka laughed at something one of the council representatives said. The woman seemed to emphasize whatever she was saying by placing a hand on Sokka’s elbow. Zuko clenched his jaw and looked away, trying not to let it bother him. He wasn’t jealous. He wasn't.
A burst of Sokka’s laughter echoed across the room and Zuko’s head whipped towards him. His eyes involuntarily narrowed. Okay, so maybe he was a little jealous.

Summary
All of the sudden, Zuko couldn’t breathe. His stomach swooped in a way reminiscent of when he stood too close to the drop-off of the temple and looked down over the edge. It felt like his world had just flipped upside down.
The sun shone behind Sokka, illuminating him like a halo. Some of his hair had fallen out of his wolf tail and hung around his face in sweaty strands. His tunic was sticking to his body in a way that must not have been comfortable, but he didn’t seem to mind. His chest heaved with each breath he took. Zuko thought he had never looked more beautiful.

Summary
“I’m going insane.”
“Did something happen?”
A dark, bitter laugh bubbles out of Buck – a mockery of joy.
“Everything keeps happening, and it’s still the same fucking day. It’s always the same and every time it’s different and I can’t do anything.”
.
Or
Buck keeps reliving the same day, over and over again.

Summary
“Why is everybody taking my relationship status so personally? Can’t I be fine with being single?” Buck said.
“Hey, you don’t have to say yes, be sad and alone if that’s what you want,” Josh replied. “But, I’m just saying. I’ve seen photos and this guy is volcanic levels of hot. Also, single dad, super cute kid. Saves lives for a living like you. I think you should give it a go.”
(the one where Buck and Eddie accidentally get set up on a blind date with each other, and everything snowballs from there)

Summary
Eddie’s heard these stories before. Buck has a lot of them. The random, wild nonsense that he got up to as a kid. But Eddie’s never considered who's missing from the stories until it’s pointed out to him: Buck’s parents. They should have been there to reassure him, to hold his hand. But they weren't. Buck was alone growing up. All alone.
Eddie never wants Buck to have to be alone again.
