Summary
Over the last twenty years of knowing Patrick Stump, Pete has acquired the skill of keeping the true depths of his affection for his best friend somewhat well-concealed. Most of the time, he’s able to ignore the giddy, panicky feeling in his chest whenever their eyes meet; most of the time, Pete is able to pretend he is anything other than madly, disgustingly in love with Patrick.
This is not one of those times. In fact, this might be the very time he finally fucks up everything, all because of Patrick and his stupid smile and the stupid way the stage lights illuminate his eyes, and Pete is even stupider for the way he smiles back so hard his cheeks hurt, and murmurs into the mic, “Play us a song, love.”

Summary
By this point Pete would consider himself an expert in leaps of faith.
Some leaps pan out, like Fall Out Boy did for example. Other leaps don't, like Fall Out Boy didn't.
(or while making Where Did The Party Go, Pete finds himself falling back into Patrick. So much for learning from experience.)

Summary
And so even though Joe says, “Yo, I have heard things about the guy that owns that place, he’s a weirdo,” Patrick doesn’t have much of a choice. He says, “Yes, he is a weirdo, he wears his jeans way too tight.” Joe gives him a funny look and says, “That’s not why he’s weird. That’s not a reason to think a dude is weird.” And Patrick knows he gets a little pink and mumbles, “Whatever,” and tries not to think any more about Pete Wentz’s tight jeans.
