    Summary

In every Once Upon A Time that depicted true love, there was suffering and loss. There was discovery and healing. The love story of Raphael and Aziraphale was no different. It just took a little while longer than most.
    ~::~
Raphael saw a hint of Aziraphale’s light on the edge of the horizon, lightyears away. Raphael let go and Fell, lest Raphael hold on too long and Aziraphale Fall as well.
Aziraphale’s scream haunted Raphael as they fell, as their holiness flickered away. Pain and agony became one with them and they felt, somehow, as they hadn’t before, that they deserved to Fall. They must, or else this would not hurt so much. And as they believed that they deserved to Fall, they truly transformed into the demon they had been called.

    Summary

Crowley raises one dark eyebrow at him. “You sound as though you’ve got something in mind already, angel.”

His eyes are golden in the sunlight, and his red hair is plaited loosely down his back. It sends Aziraphale back to 1186, to that spring wedding in a sprawling field of eagerly blooming jonquils. He thinks of how beautiful Crowley looked there in all his sunrise colors.

Aziraphale reaches out to touch a rogue curl that escaped the plait. He can feel Crowley holding his breath.

“I suppose I do,” Aziraphale admits quietly.

    Summary

However, one book in particular has always held a special place in his heart. He found it in the late fifteenth century, already old by then. Dark, well-worn pages that are bound in black snakeskin leather. Extraordinary. Beautiful.

And as magical as Aziraphale himself.

A pair of golden, snake-like eyes adorns the cover. Sometimes, at the very edge of his vision, Aziraphale could swear he sees them move. The title, in bright-red letters, proclaims to be 'The Fall of R.' More often, it's 'The Fall of C.' On some days, the last letter is no letter at all, but a curling snake, a pair of horns, a human with a pair of wings, two pairs, a multitude of them.

Aziraphale is an immortal book collector, and Crowley is his favourite book. When Aziraphale goes off to visit book fairs around the world, Crowley finds his own way of tagging along.

    Summary

Back before the Creation of Man, before the Garden, there was the Fall.
The Fall was lead by Lucifer, the First of the Fallen, God’s Favorite, King of Hell, and is destined to spawn the Destroyer of Mankind.
Thinking back to these events, Crowley sighs. He was so productive back then. What happened?

(Of course he knew what happened. A little angel happened. Was it in God’s Ineffable Plan that a measly Principality would one day have the Devil himself wrapped around his pinky finger?)
    (Perhaps so.)
