These are the stones that Midoriya Izuku’s childhood was built from; a powerful bender for a father who is never there, a non-bender for a mother who is secretly thankful her son follows in her footsteps, the Firelord’s failed experiment for a neighbor, the son of a powerful earthbending family for a best friend. Every day he wakes up thinking that maybe this will be the day that he will finally bend the earth and every day he goes to bed hoping that tomorrow will be the day instead.
Ninety-nine years since the Fire Nation first started expanding, pushing itself into the territories of the other countries of the world to feed its hunger for power, Midoriya Izuku turns sixteen and everything changes.

They say it takes a village to raise a child. The whole of class 1-A is just going to have to settle for Yagi and Aizawa.

Note to self: don't accidentally fall in love with a prince who's in an arranged marriage keeping your kingdoms from declaring war against each other. Especially when you're spying on him as his manservant.

Izuku didn’t really know what he was expecting when he applied to work at the castle. To be honest, he expected to be rejected but he wasn’t. In fact, he was brought in almost as soon as he applied.
He arrives at the castle and learns of history’s true happenings and uncovers a plot to upstage the king. Someone who was supposed to be dead isn’t dead, someone else who is supposed to be alive very much isn’t and Izuku is just confused.
But, at least he has his new cat.
He has no idea where it came from, though. All he knows is that it’s pretty, white and surprisingly motherly.
Tobio comes from a bad family. He ran away twice in his life and received a scholarship to a medical school, then became a doctor at Daichi hospital. That's where Hinata comes in -- hes a hyperactive med school student who's still figuring out the whole "doctor" thing and is coming to terms with his life, mortality, and his sense of self. Equal parts fluff, pining, and self discovery. Get ready for a wild ride.
Alternate summary: the overused "iccarus and the sun" metaphor where Tobio is Icarus and Hinata is the sun.
