Summary
When Chan had arrived at the Jeju Shatterdome, he’d felt like an older brother, sent specifically for Felix to find comfort in. He’d been sent from Sydney, Felix’s hometown, and Felix distinctly remembers following Chan around the base, peppering him with questions about the city and the beaches and the people, just to have a little taste of home.
It’s been a long time since Felix has thought of Chan as an older brother, but he’s always felt Chan’s presence like a guiding beacon, a lighthouse in a storm. Maybe the very least Felix could do is offer that same comfort in return.

Summary
It’s hard to prepare for something Mark’s never done before, but Johnny tells him he doesn’t have to do anything differently, so Mark just—goes through his normal pre-sex routine. When he comes out of the shower, Johnny’s lying on the bed, already naked and hard. Mark takes a long moment to just stand and stare, take in the flex of Johnny’s abs and the definition of muscle along his arms, the curling tattoo that wraps around his shoulder and the upper part of his left bicep. He looks—hot. Ordinary and hot, not like he’s about to put fucking eggs inside of Mark.

Summary
As he got older he came to realize that in the world of professional sports—in the world of North American professional sports—anything that made a person stand out was like putting a target on their back. Jaehyun was already the odd one out, being Korean. But the colour of his skin and the slope of his eyes would never be as condemning as liking men. His ethnicity will get him taunts on the field from opposing teams; liking men will ensure that he doesn’t make it onto the field in the first place.

Summary
"Please, Kozume-kun?" the third girl says, now that Kenma has seemingly checked into the conversation. "What does Kuroo-senpai like?"
...what.
"Volleyball," Kenma says shortly, ignoring their annoyed little sighs, and returns his expression to the screen. He's died. Figures.
After that he starts paying attention. More attention to the social aspects, at least. Kenma always pays a fair percentage of his attention to Kuroo. He sort of demands it. And. Kuroo does get a lot of female attention.

Summary
Asahi stares at Nishinoya's hands instead, fine boned and still beat up from volleyball, the cuticles bitten at and two fingers still taped.
"Thursday's child has far to go," Nishinoya says, mouth still ticked upward. "But I'll come back." his knees knock against Asahi's like a metronome. He can never keep still. "Promise."
"Right," Asahi says. "Well then."

Summary
Kenma took a small step towards him, and Kuroo resisted the instinct to place his hand on his knife. He wouldn't let Kenma get to him.
“Friends, you called them.” Kenma tilted his chin up and leveled Kuroo with an unimpressed gaze. “Trying to keep friends in the world we live in is a thing of fools.”
Kenma passed by him then, leaving Kuroo seething and his blood boiling.
