Summary
Jack was someone who was used to doing risky things and usually not having any too-bad repurcussions. He'd pickpocketed more people than he would ever be able to count, and made enemies with strangers he knew he'd never see again so it didn't matter anyway. So how was he supposed to react when he found 3 other people, whom he'd never met nor heard of before (aside from the J. Daniel Atlas), that he was going to have to work with to get into some VIP magic club? And how was he going to do it with his roommate/crush being part of it?

Oh my goodness, I can't even begin to express how bloody amazing this fic is! I spent 2 days reading it from start to end, and I don't regret a single minute of it! The talent and passion of this author is so easily visible through their writing, and it makes for a beautiful story and an amazing read! If you really want my full review, you can find my rather lengthy comment on the last chapter, but it does contain spoilers, so I'd say to just take my word for it and read this brilliant piece! ❤️

I just finished binging these movies after 5 years, I never got to see the Death Cure until tonight and I SOBBED I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY'D BREAK MY HEART LIKE THIS

Jack's standing in the doorway, grin a mile wide. Daniel didn't have to be a mentalist to tell he'd had more than just a few. His eyes were slightly unfocused and his words slurred just enough to still be coherent. His cheeks were tinted red and he was giggling like a child, lounging against the door frame.
"How many constitutes a few?" Daniel asked, raising an eyebrow.
Jack at least had the cognitive ability to look a little embarrassed. He scrunched up his face and Daniel had to use most of his control not to focus on the way Jack's brow furrowed or how his nose scrunched up as he thought. "Uhh... 7? Maybe?"
