Summary
Jan is, as far as he knows, the only one aware of this particular oddity of Kaer Morhen. There are, of course, quite a few oddities in this keep, not the least of which are the Witcher inhabitants themselves, but this particular oddity goes well beyond anything Jan has ever encountered. Were he a less practical man, it might have scared him away. But Jan has sworn his service to the White Wolf, and Jan does not break his word.
Besides, all things considered, ‘magical building that can rearrange and grow itself seemingly at will’ is certainly odd, but also quite useful for a man in Jan’s position.

Summary
Over the years, Parker has learned how to understand the people she loves.
It starts by understanding that the strange emotion she feels when she sees Hardison’s eyes light up over a new video game or when Eliot leans back in his chair after a team dinner with a content smile on his face is love.

Summary
Parker has feelings about sweaters. And thoughts. And very specific opinions: mostly, that sweaters are one and all itchy, scratchy, and designed too tight in the neck to ever be considered comfortable.
The problem is, of course, that she adores ugly Christmas sweaters with a passion she normally reserves for hundred dollar bills with non-sequential serial numbers.

Summary
Perhaps it shouldn’t come as such a surprise, Milena and Zia’s friendship, given that Milena is so madly in love with Lambert. But surely one prickly, foul-tongued person is quite enough. Two is just - well, it’s a bit ridiculous, to be honest. Milena thinks it’s because Zia reminds her of Lambert - or, at least, makes her wonder if this is how Lambert was, back when he was not yet Grassed and his hurt was still too close to the surface to hide fully.

Summary
Bucky despises winter. It’s not the sort of hate plenty of people around here have, complaining about the slush-covered sidewalks and the pain of a winter commute. Hell, if that’s all it was, he wouldn’t mind it in the slightest. It’s a deeper sort of thing, a crushing weight on his shoulders, a grip on his brain that reminds him that the cold means danger.
The thing is, Bucky knows that he’s safe. The logical part of his brain, the one that’s supposed to be in control, reminds him that some snow and ice and cold air won’t hurt him, not when he’s cozied up on the couch in the apartment he shares with Steve. He knows he’s far away from some Eastern European city in the dead of winter, far away from cold streets and cruel people and the sort of danger that most people don’t survive. He knows all that.
It’s not enough.

Summary
‘Do you like Archie?’ Parker asked finally, not looking up.
Sophie paused. ‘I’m not sure,’ she said slowly, frowning when she saw Parker flinch. ‘But if I don’t like him, it’s not for the same reason as Nate. And the others.’
Now Parker was the one to frown. ‘Huh?’
Or: Parker has a lot of questions about a lot of things. And who better to ask than the world's most feared and famed grifter? Sophie doesn't mind, not really. Not if she can help Parker to get herself some pretzels, anyway.
