“Mmhm.” She was suspicious, which was fair, Adora thought. It probably all seemed sketchy. “And what would you get out of this?”
“Your company.” Catra raised an eyebrow. “I’m serious. I live a very… isolated life. It’s hard to make friends when you’re running one of the biggest companies in the country.”
Catra opened and closed her mouth a few times, clearly stunned. Adora had to smirk a little, proud of herself for that reaction. “Here.” She pulled out her wallet, counting out a few hundred dollar bills. Three went on the table for the meal, and for the waitress, and two went to Catra, along with a business card. “Think about it. Call me if you’re interested.”
“And if I’m not?”
Adora shrugged, standing. “Then you just got a free meal to listen to me talk. Not a bad trade off, right?”
She didn’t want to be too smug, but she was pretty sure she had Catra’s attention as she walked away.

Castaspella and Micah were sitting at a table together, clearly arguing about something. “What’s going on?” Glimmer asked, not sure if she wanted to know the answer. Casta sighed, scrubbing her eyes.
“Your father has a theory—”
“A good theory!” Micah protested.
“Not one Catra would agree with if she were awake!”
“Uh…” Mermista raised a hand. “Maybe tell us?”
“Right.” Micah shook his head, trying to find his train of thought. “Sleep spells are supposed to wear off naturally. Given how long it’s lasted, and from what we observed yesterday, it’s safe to assume there were other elements added in to keep her under. Approaching it from the outside is difficult. But if we could get inside…”
“What…” Glimmer blinked a few times, trying to make sure she was hearing this right. “You’re… You’re saying we have to go into her mind?”

Catra is the unfortunate victim of two sorcerers trying to blackmail the queen. The curse puts everyone on a time clock to find a cure... or do something drastic to fix it.

Summary
If she had envisioned her death before it had been vague and far off, with her young and powerful on a battlefield; or very old, surrounded by people she loves. Not sobbing in the snow while her family sits at home, stewing in the knowledge that their daughter has been denatured.
Without her bending, Korra questions her place in the world and her role as the avatar. With tensions high in Republic City, she enlists Asami's help to teach her how to be a non-bender and ends up getting more than she expected from their relationship.
Book 1 AU: Korra lost her bending completely and never got it back. Deviates in the last few minutes of Endgame. Contains romantic tropes, adventures into the spirit world, secret lesbians and political intrigue. All my favourite things.
